ENTRY LEVEL REFEREE COURSE - REGISTER NOW!

The Newfoundland & Labrador Soccer Association (NLSA) is pleased to announce the availability of the Canada Soccer Entry Level Referee Course online! This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone in your club interested in becoming a certified soccer referee.

The Entry Level Referee Course trains participants to be a Referee or an Assistant Referee in 11-a-side soccer.

Here are some key points to consider:

• Participants must be at least 14 years of age at time of course.

• This year the course is split into 2 components:

  • Online program: This will be a Canada Soccer 4 to 6 hour course focusing on the theoretical knowledge of refereeing.

  • Practical session: This is a one-day, in-person session focused on developing practical skills for game management. It will include:

    • 2 hours in the classroom

    • 3 hours on the field

    • 2 more hours in the classroom with the final exam

How to Register:

1. Visit the Canada Soccer Shopify page: https://canada-soccer.myshopify.com/

2. Click the "Referee Education" link at the top of the page.

3. Choose your preferred language (English or French) for the course and proceed with payment.

4. Upon payment completion, you'll receive a SmarterU access key.

5. To register with SmarterU:

   • Option 1: Go back to the Shopify page and click "Training Login" next to "Referee Education."

   • Option 2: Visit https://canadasoccer.smarteru.com/remote-login/login.cfm

6. Look for the text "If you have an access key, register for an account" under the login details.

7. Complete the SmarterU registration process.

Once registered, you'll have access to the online Entry Level Referee Course.
